AC Milan officializes exclusive negotiations for a billion euro sale!

After several weeks of rumors about a possible sale of AC Milan, the company Investcorp, an investment fund based in Bahrain, has entered into discussions with the current rossoneri managers.
AC Milan is about to enter a new era. While they were bought out in 2018 by Elliot Management Corporation after being at the bottom of the barrel both athletically and financially, the Milanese club has now returned to the top of the Italian Championship and is making a return to the Champions League. According to Reuters, the value of the Italian club is now close to one billion dollars (€925 million). A return to the top level that interests the largest investment funds in the world.
And while the Italian press was talking about a possible takeover of the club, the official account of the Bahraini embassy, based in Britain, revealed on Monday that the Bahrain-based firm Investcorp has “entered into exclusive talks” with the current owners of AC Milan for a sale of $1.1 billion (1 billion euros). “Investcorp, founded in 1982, offers a diversified, global investment portfolio, managing more than $42 billion in assets worldwide,” the embassy said.
Champions League goal
“It is normal that there could be a sale in the future of AC Milan,” Paulo Maldini, the Rossoneri’s sporting director, tempered when asked on DAZN before the game against Genoa. But when? Sincerely, I don’t know. The current coach of the Red and Blacks also said: “We haven’t talked about it, and in any case, nothing and no one can take away our concentration in the final game of the season. Milan’s present is solid and the future could be even better”, explained Stefano Pioli in a press conference.
However, the investment fund would be very close to acquire the club with seven Champions League titles and would have already ticked off some names for the next mercato. According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, their goal is to win the Champions League with the Rossoneri. And to achieve this, several names have leaked: Renato Sanches, Christopher Nkunku, Sebastien Haller and Nicolo Zaniolo are already being considered for the next summer. Enough to make rossoneri fans dream before the completion of their future stadium, which should be inaugurated in 2027.
